About Dadda

Psytrance Producer, Wavetable Creator & DJ

I’m Mattias Dahdouh, though depending on how you know me, you might know me as Dadda.

Whether you know me as the creator behind the PsyTables packs, the person running the Psytrance production tutorials on YouTube, a DJ, or the event organizer running around looking slightly confused at parties - welcome!

This space is a straightforward hub for everything I work on, including samples, wavetables, presets, software, and music.

FAQ

good to know
Will these work with stock DAW synthesizers?

Yes. As long as your synthesizer supports importing standard WAV wavetables (2048 samples per frame), the files will load and work as expected. This includes stock synthesizers such as Ableton Wavetable and many other compatible instruments.

Can these wavetables be used for genres other than Psytrance?

Absolutely. While they were designed for psytrance, they're equally useful for techno, industrial, cinematic sci-fi sound design, experimental electronic music, and any genre that benefits from complex sound design.

How do I load these into Xfer Serum or Vital?

You import the wavetables into by dragging and dropping the WAV files directly into the oscillator window of Serum, Vital, Pigments, or another compatible wavetable synthesizer. Alternatively, copy the files into your synthesizer's wavetable folder and restart your DAW or plugin if needed.

What file format, bit depth and frame size are the wavetables?

Standard WAV files, 16-bit, with 2048 samples per frame. Any synthesizer or hardware module that loads 2048-sample WAV wavetables can use them.

Can I use them in my own commercial preset packs?

Yes. You are free to use these wavetables in your own commercial preset packs. The only requirement is that you include a link to this page (https://daddasounds.com/products/psytables-vol-4.html) in your product description or ReadMe file as credit.

Do they work with hardware wavetable synths?

Yes. They work with hardware wavetable synthesizers and modules that load 2048-sample WAV wavetables, such as the Ziqal DIMENSION mk3.

Which PsyTables volume should I start with?

Vol. 1 (122 wavetables) covers glitchy textures, FM sweeps, formants and risers. Vol. 2 (205) leans on additive synthesis, sci-fi effects and atmospheres. Vol. 3 (471) is the largest, with single-cycle waveforms, FM, AM/RM modulation and sweeps. Vol. 4 (358) covers single-cycle waveforms, FM, additive, experimental, filter, formant and sweep tables. The Virus TI Edition (202) is recorded from the Access Virus TI's Formant Complex and Grain Complex modes and its FM algorithm, with a glassy, futuristic sound, and the Bundle combines Vol. 1, 2 and 3 (798) at a discount. The free demos let you try the real files first.

Are these samples royalty-free?

Yes. All samples are fully royalty-free and cleared for commercial use in music, games, film, and media projects.

Can I use this pack in any DAW?

Yes. Since all files are standard WAV audio, they can be used in any modern DAW or sampler without conversion.

What format, bit depth, key and tempo are the samples?

193 WAV samples at 24-bit / 44.1 kHz. Rhythmic elements are at 148 BPM. Everything was recorded in G0 but manipulated so much that many of the samples became atonal, so there is no fixed key to match.

Is Glitch FX only for psytrance?

No. It is made with psytrance in mind, but the glitchy, cartoonish and experimental textures work for any genre, and in games, film and other media projects.

Are Dadda's freebies really free?

Yes - every pack and tool on this page is free to download. Gumroad asks for your email address so it can send you the file, but no account is required.

Can I use the free wavetables and tools in commercial music?

Yes, under the same license as Dadda's paid packs - a credit link back to the product page on daddasounds.com is the only requirement, see each product's page for details.

Do the free demo packs contain full-quality files?

Yes - the demo packs use the exact same audio files as the full releases, just a smaller selection, not watered-down previews.
